Hi, i have a VPS and i installed cPanel. Everything was ok until today.
I tried to see my emails from my server and they didnt work.
I tried to login to my WHM nothing! "The login is invalid."
I tried to login to a cPanel from my clients, nothing!
After that, i restarted my VPS and i was able to login again. But there was another problem, mySQL wasnt running so all my websites that use database were offline because they couldnt establish a connection.
So, i logged in to whm and restarted mySQL.
After that i cannot login to whm again...
So if i restart my VPS and do not restart mySQL i can login.

Please help me!

Hello :)

Please check to ensure your "cphulkd" database is not corrupted. EX:

Code:
# mysqlcheck cphulkd
If the tables are detected as "OK", then try temporarily stopping cPHulk via:

Code:
# /usr/local/cpanel/etc/init/stopcphulkd
Are you then able to access cPanel/WHM when cPHulk is stopped? If so, you should browse to the following location and ensure your home IP addresses are added to the trusted IPs list:

"WHM Home >> Security Center >> cPHulk Brute Force Protection"

Thank you.

When this problem occurs, i am logging in through SSH, i am stopping mySQL and then i can access my WHM.
To fix this issue, every time, i force reinstall cPanel.
This happened 3 times in a month!!!

You should not need to reinstall cPanel to fix this. That is a very drastic step.

As Michael explained, cPHulkd may be blocking either the root account or your IP address, and its database may be corrupt. In the WHM, click Home »Security Center »cPHulk Brute Force Protection and disable cPHulkd, and see if the problem persists. Also, on the same page, whitelist your local IP address. You can get your local Ip address by browsing What Is My IP Address ® | Shows Your IP Address. .

If this keeps happening, please do not reboot the server, reinstall cPanel, or anything else, before you submit a ticket. We would be happy to investigate the source of this problem. In a ticket, we can look at the server directly and give you much more personal assistance than in a public forum. There is no charge for submitting a ticket.
