    Greetings.

Seeing as we run php5 and mysql5 - I was looking to update phpMyAdmin to v3. I backed up /usr/local/cpanel/base/3rdparty/phpMyAdmin as a precaution, uploaded phpmyadmin v3, and copied the old config.inc.php to the v3.

PHPmyadmin works just fine from the WHM interface - but every time I try to access phpmyadmin from the user's cpanel, i get: "Wrong username/password. access denied" from phpMyAdmin.

I tried restoring the prior version of phpmyadmin - and I'm getting the same error from the user's cpanel, but not from the WHM.

I'm going bald pulling my hair out... any help? :(

Not sure you want to update this independent of cPanel. You might try to force an update to see if that repairs things for you.

STABLE was updated to PHPMyAdmin to 2.11.9.1 2008-09-25

Although, you certainly can install your own setup of PHPMyAdmin on a user account easy enough.
