I use CPanel in order to make a website. On this website I am going to make a gallery showing some clothing and stuff. But when I upload the files to the public_html folder, all I get is a link to the file. I want the file to shot itself, not some "behind the scenes" stuff :P

Anyone knows what I did wrong?

What exactly do I have to do in order to show a picture on the fornt page?
I made a folder inside the / public_html named index.html, and then I moved the picture to the index.html folder, still no change. Anyone got an answer on what to do?

load your index.xxx (htm, html, php) to your public_html folder. then it is very useful to then create a new folder under your root account called images. so something like this would be in your domain folder:

    mydomain/
    mydomain/public_html
    mydomain/public_ftp
    mydomain/mail
    mydomain/images <-- yes create a folder here

then upload all your images now and in the future to the images folder.

the look at your index page in an editor and make sure your references to the image files are like this or similar:

    <img src="/images/welcome.gif"><br><br>

hope this helps. pm me if you need me to work thru this with u.
