Can someone please help me with removing old dns zones. I have played around with adding some legitimate zones that i own and have set up accounts with those zones. Now i want to get rid of those old zones and accounts and re-do them properly. I cannot get rid of the old accounts and zones and everytime i try to set up the new ones using the same info with different p/w etc i get new accounts compiled messages but cannot get them to show up in the accounts list. i can also still enter old domians that i deleted through the cpanel interface. What gives?????

Hi I'm also having this issue with old addon domains.

If I remove an addon domain from cPanel - then try to send an email to an old email forwarder that the old addon domain had once the domain is already on a new server, the message ends up stuck in my postfix queue...

Any help much appreciated.

Hello,

Do you have root access to this system? If so, you can remove DNS zones via "WHM >> DNS Functions >> Delete a DNS Zone". Or, you can use the following command:

Code:
/scripts/killdns $domain
Could you let us know the specific error message when attempting to delete a zone if the removal fails? Also, could you verify if the server is part of a DNS cluster?

Note that account termination is a separate process, documented at:

Terminate an Account - Documentation - cPanel Documentation

Thank you.
