Anyone else running into this problem?

I have two servers and they're both experiencing this issue after I've used DNS Clustering to cluster them. Before that, I could park / unpark domains on either server with no problem.

Now, if I try to un-park a domain on either box I get this:

"Error from park wrapper: Unable to find out which user owns the parked domain xxxxxxxx.com"

Box 1 is running:

WHM 10.8.0 cPanel 10.9.0-R34
RedHat Enterprise 3 i686 - WHM X v3.1.0
mysql (4.0.27-standard)
httpd (1.3.37 (Unix))
named (9.2.4)
php 4.4.4

Box 2 is running:

WHM 10.8.0 cPanel 10.9.0-R34
RedHat Enterprise 4 i686 - WHM X v3.1.0
httpd (1.3.37 (Unix))
mysql (4.1.21-standard)
named (9.2.4)
php 4.4.4

Thank you for any opinions / advice!

Got the un-parking issue fixed - the tech assisting me said he "resynced cPanel thru upcp and that appears to have resolved the problem". I don't know how the problem started though. That's all I know is what he said so far.

But still having the issue where transferring an account from one server in the cluster to another loses the parked domains / addon domains - http://forums.cpanel.net/showthread.php?t=58324

Actually, scratch that... the un-parking worked for the tech who responded / tested it, but I just tried it myself and again I'm getting the error:

Error from park wrapper: Unable to find out which user owns the parked domain xxxxxxxxx.com.

I'm baffled at this point.

I've been noticing that with cPanel lately... "There is no issue, or it's fixed" but still the issue goes unresolved.

It is unable to locate the user for the parked domain

Have you tried:

/scripts/updateuserdomains

check the entry in /etc/trueuserdomain

/etc/userdomains

Try searching all the user files in /var/cpanel/users/ for the domain
IF that's not the issue, have a trawl through httpd.conf

If you have a look in:

/scripts/park

It might give you some ideas of where to look. You could also try using the script itself.

Thank you angelina_holy.

I have not tried those methods you mentioned, but for some reason today the problem does seem to be resolved (and I don't know how/why).

I'm going to copy your post into my notes for future reference though, thanks very much.

A problem still exists though, with the WHM transfer/copy account feature - when copying a an account from one server to another in the cluster it "loses" any addon or parked domains.

So for now I can unpark/repark domains manually to complete some of my transfers, but I can't transfer any of the accounts with addon domains because that would get really complicated. I'm going to submit a ticket to cPanel and see if they can tell me why the Transfer / Copy accounts feature in WHM is broken, and deal with that in a different thread here as well.

A problem still exists though, with the WHM transfer/copy account feature - when copying a an account from one server to another in the cluster it "loses" any addon or parked domains.
This is a bug in the account transfer functionality, as noted in http://bugzilla.cpanel.net/show_bug.cgi?id=4161

We are currently working through all the bugs related to account transfer (about 30 in bugzilla) and have many of them fixed for the next builds.

As for the other issue noted in this thread, if I understand you correctly, the following is what occurs:

  1. Unable to park or unpack domains in a cluster
  2. Unable to delete subdomains in a cluster

Please let me know if the above two issues are what is being reported in this thread (aside from the account transfer issues).

Thank you.

Hi yes i have 2 servers in a cluster i am unable to remove subdomains on any of the servers when i try the error message says

Error from park wrapper: Sorry, you do not control the domain xxxx Sorry, the subdomain xxxx cannot be removed because it is linked to the addon domain xx.xxxx.co.uk . You must first remove the addon domain.

it was not an addon domain it was a sub domain added by cpanel i go to addon domain and try to remove addon domain and then it complains that it cannot remove it because it is a parked domain so i go to parked domain and try to remove and iget the same errors again cannot remove because it is a addon domain

Thank you
Swampy

Im not sure if this was a genuine fix or not, but it seemed to me that when I added a parked domain and then removed it, I was able to then remove the original parked domains that produced the above error.

its worth a try I guess.

Hi Swampy

Sorry for the confusion. My reply with a "fix" was for the original thread starters problem, and subsequent posts.

Have you raised a ticket with cpanel with your problem, or with your DC if your cp license is through them?
