Cannot update Addon domain with document root outside of public_html

Cannot update Addon domain with document root outside of public_html. I want to the files of my addon domain to be in a subdirectory outside of public_html. However, when I edit the document root for the addon domain ... cpanel just keeps on putting public_html at the beginning.

This is due to a configuration setting your provider has set. You'll need to discuss with them further to find out what the options are to change this.
