Hi,

I cannot upload any zip files to any of the Accounts on our server.

jpg files work fine.

WHM v76.0.22

It has clamav on
I am not sure how to check log files for clamav

It could be modesecurity, I am looking at that now.

Any other ideas?

The exact error message is:

"The file you uploaded, xxxxxx.zip, contains a virus so the upload was cancelled: Can't create temporary directory ERROR"

There aren't logs for ClamAV by default beyond the update logs but the error message indicates that the upload contains a virus signature which is why it failed. Have you scanned the file with a virus or malware scanner?

Thank you fr the reply. Yes I scanned it with Trend Micro and also MalwareBytes on Windows. Also one of the files was just a normal WordPress download from Wordpress.org direct. I would expect that to be pretty clean. So it is any zip file it looks like at this stage.

Are you doing this through the file manager? I am curious if your provider may have added a script to scan uploads for a specific string, this doesn't sound like something cPanel and WHM does by default.
