Hi there

Am getting close to banging my head against a wall on this one. For some reason I can't access cpanel. This seems to have occurred since I switched from adsl to cable broadband.

I've contacted my web hosting company and they tell me nothing wrong their end.
My ISP is not blocking port 2083.
My anti-virus software is also not blocking.

I've tried port forwarding. My modem is a Huawei brand.

I can access the login screen by using mysite/cpanel but that brings up a page with 2 options... behind or not behind a firewall. Both have ssl issues. I'm hesitant to login without security.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

This is something that has to be checked on your machine itself, because it is surely issue from network on your side.. What is the output of the below command on your machine:

# ping <yourdomainname>
Check if it is going to IPv6 or IPv4 Address..

What is the error you are seeing? Are you accessing via the IP or hostname? Can you provide an example of the URL with the hostname or IP redacted?

This is normal if you don't have a SSL CRT installed for your domain, or if the SSL CRT doesn't cover 'cpanel.<domain>.<tld>'.

I do have ssl. But it may have expired. Will log in without security to see if this is so.

You’ll be fine logging into your cPanel.

Why do you mention trying port forwarding though I wonder...
