Can't access other user sites with SFTP

Hello,

I'm the Reseller/Owner for a group of other users whose sites I host and edit. I'm using Sublime Text with SFTP which is working fine for accessing my personal sites because they are owned by my username. The other hosted sites that I am the Reseller/Owner for have their own usernames. Could anyone tell me what I need to do to have access to edit those other sites using my current reseller/owner username?

Anyone else able to do this?

Hello :)

You won't be able to access those accounts via SSH unless you authenticate with their account username and password. The only alternative to that is if you had root access to the server.

Thank you.

Thanks for the reply.

I do have root access to the server. What is that alternative?

You can access SFTP with the "root" username and root password in order to access the entire server. You can browse to the home directory of any account. Ensure you update the ownership to the account username after uploading or editing files as "root".

Thank you.
