Hi there,

Just trying to access my server with the root user via sftp. Now I have accessed it previously but now I get "nvalid username or password reported to the server".

Yes I have changed settings in via whm. Thing is I have no idea what stopped the root users access to sftp. Any ideas what to change to try and get access again?

Any help would be much appreciated as I'd rather sftp with a gui than use putty with cli.

Thanks

Bjorn

Root user shouldn't be able to log into FTP no matter whether it is via regular FTP or sFTP. That's a huge security risk to allow root user FTP-based access to the system.
