    Hello,

I am trying to modify the ip address of one of my nameservers by clicking on "Add an A entry for this nameserver" in Basic cpanel & WHM setup. I added the entry and saved the changes. But it is still showing the old ip for the nameserver. Can anyone please tell why it is behaving like this.

    Regards
    Tino

cPanel does not uses /etc/nameserverips anymore. You need to refer and add the IP's manually in /var/cpanel/nameserverips.yaml

To read more, refer Nameserver IP's changed

To add A record for server hostname access WHM >> DNS Functions >> Add an A Entry for your Hostname [as root user]

To modify A record, WHM >> DNS Functions >> Edit DNS Zone [as root user]. Select the domain from the list & click on Edit. Modify the A record as required.

    Hope this helps ;)
