anybody ever have a problem with creating databases in cPanel? when I try to add a new database or database username nothing happens, the page progresses to the confirmation page saying it was created but when you go back into the mysql form it doesn't display the databases and they do not exist in the mysql folder either? and if you try to use phpmyadmin from the mysql form it displays a error of wrong username/password

Are you able to connect to the MySQL from shell and can create databases?

Did you login with the cPanel username/password of the domain ? Also check if the domain has enough mysql databases from WHM > Modify an account.
