I am getting the following error when trying to open a ticket from WHM:

API failure: The system received an unexpected status while retrieving the Technical Support Agreement: 599
Continue in the cPanel Customer Portal

@inteldigital

I've reported this to the supervisor on shift. What's the issue you're experiencing, that you're opening a ticket for? Would you like for me to use the email address we have for your forums account and open a ticket for you? (As an administrator on the forums I have access to the email address you used, no one else does). Furthermore you should still be able to open a ticket from the customer portal directly.

Hi Lauren,

Oddly, the issue resolved itself (with regards to not being able to open a ticket from WHM), the problem I was trying to report was tat none of my emails are sending and lots of emails (almost all) are receiving this error in the reports:

"Could not complete sender verify"

Hi @inteldigital

I'm glad to hear that the issue is resolved. As far as the error you were receiving, if support hasn't gotten back to you yet, you might check the NS in /etc/resolv.conf for validity.

Hi @cPanelLauren thanks for that. The problem was with the resolvers. I'm now having an issue sending email from an external server. Basically, I am setting up Discourse on a remote server, using a subdomain of a domain that is hosted on WHM/cPanel. What options do I need to enable/disable to allow me to connect from the external server to my outgoing mail server on WHM to send mail from external server (discourse). Or do I add the external server as a trusted sender IP or .. ?

Hi @inteldigital

Glad you got the resolver issue fixed. For the email sending - to clarify, you've set up discourse on a remote server but want to send its mail through your server? If that's correct, you'd just set the MX records to your server, though you would have to send mail from your local server not the remote server.

To force mail sent from the remote server to go through your server, you'd need to add the cPanel server as a smarthost on the remote server - similar to what's discussed here: Remote email server configuration
