    Hi all,

I have a new serious problem, its not posible to delte mysql databases.

I always get the following error:

    Code:
DBD::mysql::db do failed: Unknown column 'db' in 'where clause' at /usr/local/cpanel/Cpanel/Mysql.pm line 831. /usr/bin/mysqladmin: DROP DATABASE xxxx_agbook1 failed; error: 'Error dropping database (can't rmdir './xxxx_agbook1', errno: 39)'

The problem exist on all domains on this server.

Anybody here has the same problem?

    BTW: I'm running mysql 4.0.23-standard

did you try ./upcp --force ?

not sure if this will help. perhaps submit a ticket to cpanel and see wha they say.

    Error
    SQL-query:

    DROP DATABASE `xxxx_osc1`
    MySQL said:

    #1010 - Error dropping database (can't rmdir './xxxx_osc1', errno: 39)

You may not be able to drop the database using phpmyadmin, is that the root (whm) phpmyadmin? You would need to use the users cPanel and access the mysql admin page (not phpmyadmin) and drop from there or

Anyway, if you login to a shell session as root

    # mysql

    > DROP DATABASE user_agbook1;

That will take care of it.

I have found bugs with mysql 4.0.23 especially problems with my mysql nagios installs, I'd recommend upgrading that. If you are running an rpm distribution, you can download the rpms from your nearest mirror. eg. http://mysql.inspire.net.nz/downloads/mysql/4.0.html

Yes, it was the root phpmyadmin, same problem with clients phpmyadmin, I tried to delete the db over shell but same shit :(

    Code:
    root@server29 [~]# mysql
Welcome to the MySQL monitor. Commands end with ; or \g.
Your MySQL connection id is 6863 to server version: 4.0.24-standard

Type 'help;' or '\h' for help. Type '\c' to clear the buffer.

    mysql> DROP DATABASE xxxx_agbook1;
ERROR 1010: Error dropping database (can't rmdir './xxxx_agbook1', errno: 39)
    mysql> exit
    Bye
    root@server29 [~]#

I deleted the account and created a new one but the db's still exist

    Code:
    root@server29 [/var/lib/mysql]# ls -laht | grep xxxx
    drwx------ 2 mysql mysql 4,0K 29. Mar 22:47 xxxx_ivbd1/
    drwx------ 2 mysql mysql 4,0K 29. Mar 22:47 xxxx_ivbd2/

    root@server29 [/var/lib/mysql]# cd xxxx_agbook1/
    root@server29 [/var/lib/mysql/xxxx_agbook1]# ls -laht
    drwxr-x--x 80 mysql root 4,0K 29. Mar 22:53 ../
    drwx------ 2 mysql mysql 4,0K 19. Nov 00:39 ./

    -rw-rw---- 1 mysql mysql 1,0K 16. Nov 23:57 book_pics.MYI

I'm not sure if it is a good idea to replace mysql on this server, I'll be killed if it fails

THX for your tipps, if nothing helps I will replace mysql and pray ;)
