Can't delete old subdomains after use "Modify An Account"

I used "Modify An Account" to change an account's domain name but the sub-domains of the old domain name are still listed in the CPanel. When I tried to delete those sub-domains (of the old domain), I wasn't able to. Any enlightenment would be appreciated.

sounds like httpd.conf has a few errors, remove the subdomains manually from the file.
Backup first!
