I synced ftp passwords (says synced ok but nothing happened)

cPanel & WHM software version 11.38 has reached End of Life - cPanel forums

I'm not sure what your issue is exactly, but you are on an out of date version of cPanel that will no longer be supported. You might start there and get updated. Also, please feel free to open a ticket to cPanel Technical Support. I'm sure they'll be able to help you sort this.

I found that the secondary drive /dev/sdb1 /backup (where the backups are stored) was not accesible (gaves read only drive and /backup folder empty no backups files). I dont know if this has something to do with the login error.
A question about this. I unmounted the /backup folder. Now if I do fdisk -l , /dev/sdb is not listed as harddrive anymore, but appears at WHM System Information. Is there a way to recover it to make it visible again at fdisk??
In order to run a fdisk at the secondary drive and then mount it again.
    Thanks

Sounds to me like you've got a few things going on here.

Users wouldn't be connecting to the backup drive, the system does. The cPanel Backup system will mount and umount when backups are complete.

    Hello,

As Infopro mentioned, we strongly recommend updating your cPanel version. 11.38 is no longer supported, so even if you open a support ticket, we're going to tell you that we'll need to update the software for you.
