Ok, I am using Outlook and trying to get the SSL to work. I have a geotrust certificate.

If I go to https://secure.ixsweb.com:465 I get the message that everyone says I am supposed to get.

However, if I go into outlook and change my incomming port to 465 and outgoing to 995, then change my incomming/outgoing mailservers to secure.ixsweb.com then click the Test button it says:

"Unable to connect tot he incomming mail server (POP3). Please verify the server name in the incomming mail server field. If that information is correct, close this dialog, click More Settgings and verify the port and SSL information on the Advanced tab."

I've also made sure my exim.crt and exim.key contain the same information as my secure.ixsweb.crt and secure.ixsweb.key files.

    I am at a loss now......Am I missing something?

actually, the strange thing is it started working all of a sudden?

However, I am still having another problem. The outgoing server keeps timing out.

The strange thing is when I test it with the test button everything passess and I recieve a test message.

However, if I try to send mail I just get a server timed out message....

995 is your POP port, not 465.

Sorry, I had that typed backwords. I do have 995 as POP and 465 as SMTP. The incomming seems to work fine, but I can not get outgoing working for the life of me...

It is strange because if I click on the "test account settings" button the mail is sent and recieved without problems???
