    Hi

    I am on Centos 6.5 64bit and i try to hide the Bind version but no way :(

    I am using cpanel and i try this:

    nano /etc/named.conf

    Under options i add the version line:

    Code:
    options {
      version "unknown";
    Then i restart:

    Code:
    service named restart
    And i test it using:

    Code:
    dig +short @ns1.mydomain.com version.bind txt chaos
    and i got this:

    Code:
    "9.8.2rc1-RedHat-9.8.2-0.23.rc1.el6_5.1"
    No way to hide it :(

    Hello,

    I just tested this on my test server and it worked fine. Feel free to open a support ticket using the link in my signature and we can investigate that for you.

    ASTRAPI, do you have the closing } character after your options section?
