Can't install Shared SSL Cert

When I try to install a shared SSL cert on my server I get the following error in my logs:

Wed Oct 15 15:00:50 2008 warn [Cpanel::AcctUtils::Owner]: Unable to access cPanel user file /var/cpanel/users/nobody: No such file or directory at /usr/local/cpanel/Cpanel/AcctUtils/Owner.pm line 26

This is after changing the user to "nobody" as advised by whm when i tried to install it for the user the domain belongs to. Browsing to the https://... gives me a 500 error.

Edit: The old cert is still listed under the users cpanel and i cannot delete it from there, even after deleteing it in the users ssl dir and /usr/local/apache/ssl.* dirs
