    Hi

Our server has one mysqld process that occupy about 99.9% of our CPU (Dual AMD MP2100)
restart/shutdown of mysql do not solve the problem. Can't kill it with kill -9 either, the process is still there with the same PID!!

reboot is working fine but we have a lot of customers on this server. This i shappning once a week.

We had reinstalled mysql, both 3 and 4 reinstalled apache (easyapache level 5) with no result...

    Any clue???

Did you try tracing the process to get some details on what it was doing?
