This is a new problem as of this morning. I tried opening phpMyAdmin, and was redirected to the cPanel page asking for the password. I entered it, then was redirected to the PMA page with this at the top:

#1045 Cannot log in to the MySQL server

I logged in to cPanel on the account (with no problem) then clicked on PMA, but was again redirected to the same error page.

My PHP scripts are still accessing MySQL just fine, so there's not a problem with the MySQL server, username, or password. I can log in via SSH as root, and I can log in to MySQL through WHM, so it appears to be restricted to PMA on this one account.

It worked fine yesterday, and I didn't change anything between then and now.

Any suggestions on how to reset it?

Hello :)

Please try updating the account password via:

"WHM Home » Account Functions » Password Modification"

This should ensure the account password is synced with the MySQL password for the same username.

Thank you.

That worked! I'm surprised it let me change it to the same password that was on file, but it did, and that seemed to clear out whatever problem it had.

Thanks, to both of you, for the help.
