Can't login to WHM?

Hey,

I have just had a dedicated server setup. The hosting company has installed cpanel. They assure me cPanel has been installed correctly, but because it's a fully unmanaged server they refuse to help me with my problem.

I can't login into WHM, I go to the <IP>/whm, <IP>:2086 and <IP>:2087 and it times out. I'm guessing it's a firewall or port blocking issue but I'm very new to managing a server and have not idea whats wrong.

Anyone have any idea what the problem may be and how to fix?

Do you have access to ftp and ssh ok? I would suggest hiring an admin to sort out the problems and secure the server asap.

Make sure your ISP, or the firewall on your PC, is not blocking you, and the cPanel ports are open.

Turned out to be a firewall that was locked down way to tight and was blocking almost everything.

I got it sorted.
