I accidentally moved the public_html folder into another folder....so I tried to reverse it by moving back to where it used to be. It tells me to click on the folder that I want to move it to but there's no folder to click on since it is the main index. Does anyone know what to do?

Since you obviously don't have ssh and you seem to be using cPanel file manager and you are unable to select a higher level to move public_html back to the root, you might want to try an ftp client which would show you the higher level to your account.

If not, then you will need to ask your provider for assistance.

cPanel Access Level
Root Administrator
Or simply:

- Generate & Download a Full Backup
- Extract the archive and locate the public_html folder
- Zip up the public_html directory so you have public_html.zip
- Upload to the root folder of your account (the default folder when clicking cpanels file manager)
- Click on the public_html.zip file and from the right hand menu choose "Extract File Contents"

Done.
