    Hi,

I've had no previous experience with WHM. My boss wanted to use some of his old IPs for a new account, so he deleted the old accounts. These accounts do not appear anywhere in the WHM anymore. The problem is, though, that the IP addresses are still bound to these accounts. I've tried to restore the old accounts from a backup but the WHM hasn't been able to find any usable backups. I've also tried deleting these IP addresses and then creating them again. Is there any way I can unbind these IP addresses?

    Oh, I'm using WHM 11.2.0 cPanel 11.8.0-R16295.

    Thanks in advance,
    Yvette

The problem is, though, that the IP addresses are still bound to these accounts.

Could you explain that a bit more?

Normally, once you Terminate an account that was using a Dedicated IP, the IP is released back to WHM.

Could be you just need to do the following:

    WHM > IP Functions
    - Rebuild the IP Address Pool
    - Show IP Address Usage

I've also tried deleting these IP addresses and then creating them again.

That may have created new problems which you need to check on.
When "Adding New IPs" you need to make sure you are using the "Subnet Mask" provided by your DC. You cannot normally use the default (255.255.255.0) provided by WHM.
