Can't restore backups after server move.

I've set up a new server and installed WHM. Did a forced backup on the old server and ftp'd these files to the new. Placed them in /backup/cpbackup.

If I use 'Restore Backups' or 'Restore Multiple Backups' I see no files listed.

If I transfer the files to /home and use 'Restore a Full Backup/cpmove file' I see a list of the files, but get a 'No Restorable archives found! ' message when I try to restore one.

I CHMOD one file to 777 because I thought it was permissions. Didn't work.

The file will unpack via tar command.

Files are in the format username.tar.gz

Any ideas?

How did you transfer the files from the old to the new server? Using scp or rsync command?

If that is a correct backup, no matter the way of transfer, you should be able to restore at the new server...

Anyway try taking a full backup of the domain ( first try for a single domain)again using

/scripts/pkgacct username

copy it to the new server

then restore it using

/scripts/restorepkg username and see if that is working

does the backup function on the new server already configured? login on WHM and click "Configure Backup" under Backup menu.
