    Hi!

I came here because I am moving my site to a virtual dedicated server and never had WHM before.

I am trying to restore a full backup made from cpanel at old server.

The problem I am having is when I try to ftp the file to the /home directory it denies
me and says I do not have the right permissions.

I also tried using cute ftp via ssh2?

I am wondering if anyone can tell me what I need to do to get this done.

I can't find anywhere through whm to change those permissions.

Thanks to anyone that can help!

Do you have root access to the server? If not, you can not do the restore.

Nobody can FTP anything to the /home folder. Your folder is /home/username.

Root owns the /home folder, and root is not able to use FTP, they must use something secure.
