cant send email to hotmail

    hello ,

    all email servers (gmail, mail.com , ...) accept emails coming from my server only hotmail doesn't reicive

    when I run this command in SSH : echo "test mail" | mail -s "test" xxxx@hotmail.com

    I have in my exim_mainlog :

    We have investigated your issue in detailWe tried to sent mails from the server to our Softlayer hotmail accountFrom the logsit is clear that the mails are sent successfully from the server.

    But this is not received at the hotmail mailboxHence this is an issue at their endYou may contact the hotmail support to resolve this.

    Regarding the spammingwe could find a lot of mails from the user nobodyYou can prevent the user nobody from sending the mail from WHM as follows.

    Please select the option "Prevent the user "nobody" from sending out mail to remote addresses" from WHM >> Main >> Server Configuration >> Tweak Settings >> Mail option.

    Please try this and let us know in case you need any further assistance in this regard.

    If that doesn't help, you need to contact MSN/hotmail to whitelist your server.

    Postmaster for hotmail and Yahoo

    Usually, when having these issues. It is best to refer to the postmaster section.

    Having shared server environments, you get users that spam and cause the server to be blacklisted.

    SPF records are really only good if you are working with spoofing.

    I don't any issues with Gmail but I do with Yahoo and Hotmail often.
