I'm not really in the hosting business. I have a client whom we manage their applications for. We switched the application uses from an old Cpanel server (dedicated hardware) to a new Cpanel server (VPS) and exactly when the cutover was done email reports from their application stopped. This is the only email we are passing through this server for the client, they have separate hosting which coincidentally is also using cPanel.

    I see in our logs:

    2010-11-30 04:46:16 1PNMmt-0004F4-8C ** someuser@thedomain.com R=lookuphost T=remote_smtp: SMTP error from remote mail server after MAIL FROM:<webmaster@thedomain.com> SIZE=46081: host thedomain.com [the client's cpanel hosting ip]: 550 Access denied - Invalid HELO name (See RFC2821 4.1.1.1)

What needs to be done so that our cPanel conforms to RFC2821 4.1.1.1 and can communicate with other cPanel servers?
