Try and disable - no tick in the box - this as it will prevent php scripts from sending email out

    :)

    Try this:

    Check for the file /etc/eximmailtrap
and if it exists delete it.

    Then edit:
    /var/cpanel/cpanel.config and set eximmailtrap=0

    :)

You can edit file in Linux using any editor you wish, like vi or pico
    vi path/to/the/file
    OR
    pico /path/to/the/file

If pico is not installed, login to your server via SSH as root and execute the below commads :-
    1. wget ftp://rpmfind.net/linux/redhat/9/en/os/i386/RedHat/RPMS/pine-4.44-18.i386.rpm
    2. rpm -ivh pine-4.44-18.i386.rpm

Pico will be installed on your server. You can then edit a file using pico editor as :-
    pico filename
You can save it by pressing Ctrl X and press Y and Enter key.

To delete a file use the below command :-
    rm -f filename
but be careful, you will not be able to recover the file once it is deleted.

For more commands about Linux, search in Google. :)

Yes you must log in to shell with a client. I have found that WinSCP is a good GUI program for people who are not shell savvy. It is multilingual too.
    http://winscp.net/eng/download.php

If you have a shell client then log in and at the prompt type:
    rm -f /etc/eximmailtrap

You now need to edit the file cpanel.config type:
    pico /var/cpanel/cpanel.config

Control v and the arrow keys to find the line and edit the line and make sure it is like so:
    eximmailtrap=0

    Then control x
    Then Y to save
Then hit enter and it should save and exit to the shell prompt again.

Please note the forum moderator may move this thread to the New User Questions forum if you can't find it when you come back ;)

    :)

    Go on, have a guess
That's normally unnecessary as nano is usually installed (and prefered to pico which is now deprecated). If pico isn't there nano almost definitely will be and you should simply symlink pico to nano:

    ln -sv /usr/bin/nano /usr/bin/pico
