    Hi

Since the switch to cpanel 11 I can suspend accounts but not unsuspend them. Accounts show as unsuspended but clients are still getting redirected to the suspended page. Does anyone know why this is or how to sort it out?

    Cheers

    Chriz

    I'm unable to reproduce ( 11.5.32-EDGE_13993 ) :

    Suspend:

    root@c5release-2 [~]# cat /home/ea3test/public_html/.htaccess
    RedirectMatch .* http://c5release-2.cpanel.com/suspended.page/
    Options -Includes -Indexes -ExecCGI
    root@c5release-2 [~]#

    Unsuspend:

    root@c5release-2 [~]# cat /home/ea3test/public_html/.htaccess
cat: /home/ea3test/public_html/.htaccess: No such file or directory
    root@c5release-2 [~]#

Can you create a ticket ( support.cpanel.net ) so a tech can take a look?

Please reference this forum thread in the ticket.

    Thanks :)

    hi,
before you raise a ticket and get it checked i would strongly recommend you to check the account in question from atleast 2 different ISP's, it could be your client's ISP/PROXY showing the suspended page from Cache which yet needs to be updated once you have unsuspended them.

Mohit is probably dead on target with this one ...

It is a very common mistake for the client and sometimes the host to
forget to clear their web browser cache after a site has been unsuspended.
Subsequently, your browser still shows the site to be suspended to you
when in fact the site is actually not suspended at all!

To be sure, login with SSH and go to /home/(username)/public_html and
take a look at the .htaccess file at that location. If the site is really still
suspended, you will see the redirect command for that suspension
within the .htaccess file. If the .htaccess file doesn't exist or there are
no redirect commands to "http://(your site)/suspended.page" then
the site is not suspended and you are dealing with an old cache issue
    as described above most likely.

    I have reporduced... (slightly)

I have noticed that when suspending an account, the .htaccess file is modified throughout an account. <- acts correctly..

however, when unsuspending an account, the .htaccess file is not modified throughout the site only the main root .htaccess file is.

I am forced to manually change the .htaccess file for any recursive folders.

for example a site with an images folder and 10 add-on domains are all still suspended.
The unsuspend does not seem to be checking recursively through accounts to change the .htaccess file

Edit: cant change the spelling in the title, but I know it's wrong.. no coffee.

When I try to unsuspend, I get...

    Suspend/Unsuspend an Account
    Unsuspension of

    Syntax Error: usage: unsuspendacct

Hi, have the same problem as the topicstarter. But this problem is not take All suspended accounts, some of them unsuspeds fine. Also we haven't any problems whith browser cache.

Also I have a problem with suspending accounts. Suspending works with some accounts fine, and some account's websites is still working, it's wrong, we shoul sospend about 30-40 accounts every week and I can't check all accounts for suspension and suspend 20 accounts manualy is not fine.

also I want a function Suspend multiple accounts =)

As for the issue you are experiencing, I would recommend submitting a support ticket.

Regarding the feature request, feel welcome to submit a request for that feature to http://bugzilla.cpanel.net and then post a link to it on the forums so others know about it and can vote/CC themselves on it.
