    Hey there!
    So today I encountered myself with this problem, I'm running cPanel "CURRENT" build on Amazon Linux and I decided to upgrade from MySQL 5.5 to MariaDB 10.0 since the end of life date of this MySQL version is on December 31, 2015.
    By using cPanel "MySQL/MariaDB Upgrade" I get the following error:

    My system is currently up to date, no updates pending.
    This happens with any upgrade type (Unattended, Partially-interactive, Interactive).
    I'd rather ask for help before adding any repositories manually.
    I hope someone can help me, thanks!

    Wow, well... I actually also opened a ticket on this a few moments ago and I didn't expect an answer this fast.

    Temporary remedy: cp -Rp /usr/local/cpanel/etc/rpm/{centos,amazon}
    Thanks a lot support!
