I'm having an issue with captcha on my server.

I recently updated to Apache 2 and PHP5 only and I do have GD enabled in the apache setup. I see a lot of mention of Freetype on the forums, but I don't have that option in easy apache at all. And apache logs are not showing any errorsfor this.

    Does anyone have any suggestions?

Freetype is now known as TTF. Check the box for TTF in exhaustive options to enable TTF support.

    Hi,

we got also a problem with freetype and TTF.

This is the info.php from a server, where functions like imagettftext() are working properly.

    cPanel build 11.23.3 :

    Configure Command './configure' '--disable-pdo' '--enable-bcmath' '--enable-calendar' '--enable-ftp' '--enable-gd-native-ttf' '--enable-libxml' '--enable-magic-quotes' '--enable-mbstring' '--enable-sockets' '--enable-zip' '--prefix=/usr' '--with-curl=/opt/curlssl/' '--with-freetype-dir=/usr' '--with-gd' '--with-gettext' '--with-imap=/opt/php_with_imap_client/' '--with-imap-ssl=/usr' '--with-jpeg-dir=/usr' '--with-kerberos' '--with-libxml-dir=/opt/xml2/' '--with-mcrypt=/opt/libmcrypt/' '--with-mysql=/usr' '--with-mysql-sock=/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' '--with-png-dir=/usr' '--with-ttf' '--with-xpm-dir=/usr' '--with-zlib' '--with-zlib-dir=/usr'

    ...

    gd

    GD Support enabled
    GD Version bundled (2.0.34 compatible)
    FreeType Support enabled
    FreeType Linkage with freetype
    FreeType Version 2.2.1

At a new server from another provider with cPanel build 11.18.3 freetype is not mentioned in the info.php only '--with-ttf' '
The provider says all the functions like imagettftext(=) should work, because freetype is now called TTF - but unfortunately they do not work.

We get always: Fatal error: Call to undefined function imagettftext()

Are we doing something wrong or is '--with-freetype-dir=/usr' ' still a mandatory configuration?

    Thanks for any help

    Hello ClubV,

thanks for your answer but isn´t it enabled already?

This is a section of the respective info.php

    Configure Command './configure' '--enable-bcmath' '--enable-calendar' '--enable-dbase' '--enable-exif' '--enable-ftp' '--enable-gd-native-ttf' '--enable-libxml' '--enable-magic-quotes' '--enable-mbstring' '--enable-soap' '--enable-sockets' '--enable-wddx' '--enable-zip' '--prefix=/usr' '--with-bz2' '--with-curl=/opt/curlssl/' '--with-curlwrappers' '--with-gd' '--with-gettext' '--with-imap=/opt/php_with_imap_client/' '--with-imap-ssl=/usr' '--with-jpeg-dir=/usr' '--with-kerberos' '--with-libxml-dir=/opt/xml2' '--with-libxml-dir=/opt/xml2/' '--with-mcrypt=/opt/libmcrypt/' '--with-mhash=/opt/mhash/' '--with-mime-magic' '--with-mysql=/usr' '--with-mysql-sock=/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' '--with-mysqli=/usr/bin/mysql_config' '--with-openssl=/usr' '--with-openssl-dir=/usr' '--with-png-dir=/usr' '--with-pspell' '--with-ttf' '--with-xpm-dir=/usr' '--with-zlib' '--with-zlib-dir=/usr'

Is there anything else to enable?

    Thanks in advance
