[Case 103681] Transfers - (Unable to validate setting for cpmod: x. )

I am trying to swing over an account from an old WHM and getting the error:

Account Creation Status: failed (Unable to validate setting for cpmod: x.)

Source WHM is old - WHM 10.8.0 cPanel 10.9.0-R57
Destination is WHM 11.36.0 (build 20)

I suspect it has something to do with the cpanel themes; old server only has xmail, x, x2
New server has various rv... and x3 and x3mail.

Has anyone seen this before and is there a workaround? Or am I making a bad assumption?

I'm not quite following how to accomplish this; the x theme is only on the old server, I don't think I can remove that?

I've found the RS=x line, but need to understand how to resume if I remove that line on the new server? Am I approaching this the right way?

In cPanel 11.36.0.21, I believe this should no longer be an issue for you: CPanelVersion1136 < AllDocumentation/ChangeLog < TWiki

Is this back as a problem for anyone on 11.44? I'm having trouble migrating a site from SiteGround:

Unable to validate setting for cpmod: Crystal

I'm guessing Crystal is their theme, and the destination server is running 11.44.

Update: The account does transfer okay to a 11.42 server.

FYI this has been confirmed as a bug in 11.44 currently by cPanel support, to be fixed soon (possibly by Monday but no promises.)

Hello

Internal case 103681 is open to address this issue in cPanel version 11.44. This will change the behavior so that if a custom theme does not exist on the destination machine, it will automatically utilize the default theme. Please watch our change log for this case number.
