Hi Guys,

I am toying around with the new backup available in 11.38+ and, unless I'm mistaken it doesn't seem possible for cPanel user accounts to have self serve access back-ups ? Is this the case or am I missing something horribly obvious ? (NOTE: I am using local folder additional location)

I meant the scheduled backups created via the backup cron/WHM application. By example, storing 14 daily back-ups and 3 monthly back-ups (etc) ~~ is it possible for a cPanel user to access / download these.

After the update to 11.48, no backups

Hi!

After the update from 11.48 i see in the cPanel user accounts that the diary backups are no more available.

I have only the new backup system on and only have the diary backups activated and to retain only 1.

But, after the update to 11.48 the cPanel user backup is saying this:

Account Backups
You do not have any automatically generated backups that are currently available. Your server administrator or server owner must enable this feature.
But they are enabled as always have.

Bug?

Thanks

Re: After the update to 11.48, no backups

Hi!

Just to add that i think my question is related to this post:

- Merged Threads -

This used to work in version 11.46 but only for the daily backups, weekly and monthly didn't appear there, and now with 11.48 there's none.

Thanks

Hi!

I put a ticket and the answer is that this is a detected bug and will be solved next week.

Fixed case 161409: Restore the ability to list backups by date.

Thanks

Hello :)

To update, internal case number 161409 is open to address an issue where cPanel accounts are not able to download system generated backups when the Backup Configuration (new backups) is selected by the System Administrator in WHM. You can monitor our change log for this case number at:

cPanel - Change Log

Thank you.

Hi!

Just to say that i confirm that this bug was corrected with update 11.48.0.12.

This only works with daily backups right?

Thanks

You may select the most recent daily, weekly, or monthly backup. It depends on which backups are enabled on your system.

Thank you.

Hi!

Well, i have tested this, but that's not correct.

That only works with legacy backup. The new backup system never appeared as an option for the user to download in the cPanel worked for Weekly and Monthly backups.

Will it be in the future? Or do we have to use the Legacy backup for this?

Thanks

Are you using standard, and not incremental backups? Also, to confirm, you are referring to the account backups available in the cPanel interface, correct?

Thank you.

H!

Yes, i use the Backup type, compression in the whm backup configuration.

And yes, in the cPanel in the backup only appears bellow the Download a Full website Backup, only appears 1 date, the daily.

I have that configured to make daily backups every day and keep 1, and weekly backup at sunday and keep 1.

But only the daily backups are available to the user for download.

Thanks

Feel free to open a support ticket so we can take a closer look. You can post the ticket number here so we can update this thread with the outcome.

Thank you.

H!

I thought that this was already documented.

I'm just finishing 4 tickets i had opened about some other things in the backup system. Then i will open another about this.

I just used the daily backups and i think this is sufficient for my regular users.

Thanks
