When you create a cPanel account:

Code:
Domain: accounttester.org
UserName: accountt
PassWord: areallybadpassword
Then log into the cPanel and create an email account with the same Username part as the main account's username, i.e.:

[email protected]

(Note - accountt@accounttester.org - accountt is the same as the main cPanel account username - accountt)

The Mail Client Configuration page lists:

Code:
Username: [email protected]
Password: Use your cPanel password.
As the mail settings to use.

This is wrong.

This should say:

Code:
Username: accoun[email protected]
Password: Use the email account’s password.
For any other email account that is created - i.e. [email protected] - the information in the Mail Client Configuration page is correct:

Code:
Username: somethi[email protected]
Password: Use the email account’s password.
This appears to be present in cPanel 11.46.3.6 and cPanel 11.48.4.4. In paper_latern and x3.
