Just did an upgrade to 11.30.0 b-16
All is well and good, but ScriptAlias seems to have taken a hit somewhere in the process. Been combing through apache files, server security addtions with this update, and either am completely blind, or something really is broke.
Already did a force reisntall no good
Rebuilt Apache no good

Problem defined as any attempt to reach http://domain.com/admin/mailman/admin/list_domain.com results in a 500 error.
Suexec_log contents are likely staring me in the face, but one day post op from back surgery, I am blind here.

[[email protected] logs]# tail suexec_log

It does look like a new version was brought in with the upgrade, dated today, to be honest, didn't have the prior vers,
-rwsrwsr-x 1 mailman mailman 15722 May 17 09:36 admin
-rwxr-sr-x 1 mailman mailman 15726 May 17 09:36 admindb
-rwxr-sr-x 1 mailman mailman 15726 May 17 09:36 confirm

-rwxr-sr-x 1 mailman mailman 15730 May 17 09:36 subscribe

currently showing version 2.1.14

the 500 is ONLY when accessing via domain.com/
accessing from whm server/ works just fine

ScriptAlias is appearing proper in httpd.conf
ScriptAlias /mailman /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/mailman/cgi-bin/
pretty sure if the OxyCodone would wear off might find this one on my own, but currently I am drawing a blank.....
Anybody spot the obvious?
Thanks...

Hello :)

This is a known issue that has been reported to our developers. It stems from the "/usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/mailman/cgi-bin/admin" directory being set to 6775 permissions. For reference, the internal case number is 49817.

Changing the permissions on the following directory to 2755 should resolve this issue until the resolution is pushed out.

Code:
chmod 2755 /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/mailman/cgi-bin/admin
Thank you.

Re: CSF Warnings: Automatic upgrade to 11.30 build 11 from 11.28

The 11.30 upgrade broke the mailman links on two of our servers. Our server admin fixed it so I don't have the details, but it was some kind of permissions problem.

Hello scottc,

I've moved your post into the already existing thread about this issue with Mailman permissions on the /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/mailman/cgi-bin/admin file. The prior thread on CSF would not have been applicable to the issue.

If you have any further questions on how this matter with mailman was resolved, please let us know.

Thanks!

This issue is now resolved as of cPanel & WHM version 11.30.0.19. Updating from a previous build will automatically correct the permissions on the "/usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/mailman/cgi-bin/admin" directory.

Thank you.
