    Hello,

I recently installed MUNIN through WHM > cPanel > Manage Plugins > MUNIN > Install and keep updated.
    I am on CENTOS 6.4, WHM/cPanel 11.38.1 (build 13).

When the install completed, I noticed that version 1.4.7 of MUNIN was installed. I was expecting version 2.0.16.

As everyone knows, version 2.x performs much better than version 1.x, and also has better features.

My question is - why is the current version (2.0.16) not installing as a standard part of WHM/cPanel? Why the old version?

    Thank you

    Hello :)

Munin version 2.0 is currently not available in cPanel/WHM. There is an internal case open that aims to have the Munin WHM plugin updated to this version. However, there is currently no specific time frame available on when it might be implemented. For reference, the internal case number is 58611.

    Thank you.

    Hi Michael,

    Ok, well that explains it.

Version 2 is much improved over the current one.

I hope that it is implemented soon.

Maybe you can give it a "kick"? :)

    Thanks!

The case is still open. There is still currently no time frame available on when it might be implemented.

    Thank you.

Why not maintain munin via the app infrastructure now in place and work with the dev's to create an official fork for the cPanel users to get from sourceforge? Then it is not just cPanel making contributions but rather everyone. You guys provide and somewhat support it but ultimately it is third party software. How much modification is required as is for munin to work as delivered by cPanel?

This type of change is better suited as a feature request. You are welcome to open one via:

    Thank you.

cPanel has been working since juli 2012 on upgrading to Munin 2.x

Any indication of when you expect cPanel to have Munin 2.x?

There is currently no time frame available on when it might be implemented. The best way to voice your opinion on this matter is to vote and contribute to the feature request:

    Thank you.
