[Case 65697] Are these warnings normal when enabling SpamAssassin?

I see this whenever I enable it:

Apr 4 13:46:02.872 [20153] warn: config: can not determine default prefs path

Apr 4 13:46:02.872 [20153] warn: config: failed to create default user preference file /home/username/.spamassassin/user_prefs

It says it's enabled afterwards, but I want to make sure this isn't a problem to be fixed.

thanks!

Had the same exact issue today enabling spam assassin any hint?
Also I found this guide on Bayesan filters of spam assassin but when it goes through the configuration settings it seems I cannot find them in my configuration page inside CPanel. I just have blacklist, scores and whitelist.

Could you open a support ticket using the link in my signature so we can take a closer look and reproduce these error messages? You can post the ticket number here so we can update this thread with the outcome.

Thank you.

Hello,

To update, it was determined that these warnings are benign and should not cause a problem.
An internal case was filed (Case # 65697) that will create a template file into the user_prefs location and should stop the warning. The template file contains nothing but comments by default, so it still doesn't do anything unless custom configuration is added to it.
