[Case 74949] EasyApache in WHM breaks with file download when proxy subdomains enabled

This has apparently cropped up once or twice before, but was never actually fixed in either situation. As of yesterday, I can't run Easy apache from the website. It prompts me to download easyapache.pl instead. I ran it last week without issue, Currently, running 11.38.2.6. Before that, 11.38.2.3. Both are having this problem. Nothing shows up in /usr/local/cpanel/logs/error_log when I try running Easy Apache. Perl's symlink structure looks like this:

-rwxr-xr-x 2 root root 13K Apr 30 08:25 /usr/bin/perl*
lrwxrwxrwx. 1 root root 13 Jul 31 2012 /usr/local/bin/perl -> /usr/bin/perl*

I've already run /scripts/upcp --force to no effect. Any additional pointers would be appreciated.

It's difficult to determine the exact cause of this problem if there are no error messages in the cPanel error log. Could you open a support ticket so we can take a closer look?

To update, it was determined this is related to an internal case where EasyApache breaks with a file download when using the proxy subdomains feature to access Web Host Manager. For reference, the case number is 74949.

I have updated the title of this thread to reflect the case name and number.
