Hi,
I have been using the cgi-sys/formmail.pl script for years without issue and it has worked flawlessly. last week (I think that when it started) the form still functions and sends the email with its output, however the form fields are sent out of order. initially I had the form configured without any sort option and the output was sent to the email configured in the order they were displayed in the form itself. now every time I submit a form the output seems to be randomly different. I had added the sort field to the form and it has no affect on the output. I spoke with the support from the NOC I am using and they tried everything they can think of and the end result is they think "there must have been an update to the script that is causing it to not function properly".
I have no idea how to proceed. They recommend that I simply install a different formmail script and use that and be done with it. my problem with that solution is that i like the cpanel integration and i dont want to add more scripts that could possibly be exploited if I dont have to. further, I have the default one provided in use on dozens of sites so I would be forced to update them all to an alternative script.
Can anyone point me in the right direction to test the script in a way to see if it is the script itself that is having an issue, can others confirm this behavior, do I tell cpanel or who would be responsible to see if the script is functioning properly???
Thanks
