I have a hosting account and I am having problems with BoxTrapper settings. In the configuration setting there is a line which shows "Minimum SpamAssassin Spam Score required to bypass BoxTrapper:" and I would like to set it at "13". The system gives me an error message which says "Invalid numeric number - the minimum number must be numeric". I can set that number to be 100 but no lower than 100 unless I go all the way down to 9.9.

Is this the correct way that Cpanel has programmed the system or is this an issue with my hosting company?

Thanks for your help.

First, do you believe that a setting of 9.9 will block some email but allow for really legitamate email to get through since this is a business account.

Second, I tried submitting a bug but was unsuccessful. I found my IP but then the ID failed because it would not match. So if you could submit the issue it would be helpful.

A "require_score" value of 9.9 for SpamAssassin is considered conservative. Thus, if you set the value for the "Minimum SpamAssassin Spam Score required to bypass BoxTrapper" to 9.9, then, I suspect several senders would be able to bypass BoxTrapper. The default value of -2.5 seems reasonable to me.

I have opened internal case number 94705 with our development team to report the inconsistent numerical validation failures for this option. I will update this thread with more information as it becomes available.

Thank you.
