Not new to WHM but new to centOS 6.

Should I use 6 for the next server installed? It will be a shared hosting server.

I'm also new to version 6 :) I think most of the companies use 5.8

I did set it up with 6 and so far it seems to be about the same except for saying centos6.2 in the header of whm.

Has to be better, it's newer right? :)

I'd say CentOS 6, if for some reason you want CentOS 6 at later time you cannot perform an upgrade from CentOS 5 > 6.

I have been using CentOS 6 now for a couple on months on a few servers, and had no issues.

Through my company, we have about 35 servers so far running on 6, but the only real changes from centos 5 to centos 6 is base security upgrades, service upgrades, and stuff like that. I personally haven't noticed a change from 5 to 6 performance wise, but ill guess well wait and see.

    Hello :)

I would like to point out that cPanel does fully support CentOS 6.x. Personally, if I was setting up a new server, I would use CentOS 6 over CentOS 5 to avoid having to upgrade at a later date.

    Thank you.
