centos tweak network settings tcpip ?

    I was wondering if there is any need to tweak the network settings on your server much like you would for a windows XP machine.

    Somehow I think no since when you install using a server operating system the installation type that you pick is already setup for this.

    Generally speaking, no, there's no need at all on *NIX unless you're under attack or are completely maxing our your NIC's connection rate.
