    The action shoudl be pointing to an executable CGI script, not to a text file.

    Something like this:

    Code:
    <form action="http://www.domainname.ext/cgi-sys/FormMail.cgi" method=POST name="membership" id="membership">

    In the above case, FormMail.cgi is a cpanel-included formmail CGI - It doesn't exist in an actual directory in the webspace of domainname.ext but instead is aliased to a single directory of Cpanel's where the formmail scripts reside. Of course it doesn't have to be that way.

    If you have an actual formmail-type cgi in your cgi-bin, it would end in .cgi or .pl - and your action would look something like:

    action="http://www.domainname.ext/cgi-bin/name_of_formmail_cgi.pl"
