cgi-bin's appear as 404's ?

    I have a problem where all cgi-bin's are appearing as 404 errors when the folder is there as are the files.

    Here are some examples:

    http://maxw.compactvision.net/cgi-bin/

    ^ Shouldn't that appear as a 500 error?

    http://maxw.compactvision.net/cgi-bin/send.cgi
    http://phorums.compactvision.net/cgi-bin/send.cgi
    http://scripts.shortfun.co.uk/cgi-bin/send.cgi

    Just so nobody says its probably the script, here are some different ones which also don't work and these are the ones that come with cPanel:

    http://tubz.compactvision.net/cgi-bn/entropybanner.cgi
    http://tubz.compactvision.net/cgi-bn/randhtml.cgi

    Permissions on all cgi-bin's above are set to 755 and so are the files.

    Does anybody know what's going on?
