Ok, at my prior reseller hosting place, I was able to run cgi and pl scripts from any directory.

Now, I have upgraded to a dedicated server, however, post install I have come to realize that CGI/pl scipts now have to be run from the /cgi-bin/ directory!

Can someone please, let me know how I could set it up so that the cgi/pl scripts run from any directory? Cause I wouldn't want to have to move ALL my clients CGI scripts to their cgi-bin...and recompile the scripts...

If it's any clue, I currently get this response:
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Also, when testing the cgi/pl scripts in the /cgi-bin/ they do work, so I at least know perl is running good. Just need it to execute scripts from all directories...

Any and all comments/help is appreciated

    Thanks!

OK, forget about this post! HA!

I figured it out via process of elimination....

For some reason the permissions on all the clients were changed passed the /public_html/ folder, probably carried over form the old server settings...

Once I corrected the permisions to 755, cgi/pl worked in all directories!

    WOOT!
