    Hi,

Is there a way to change WHM's admin account to something else? I added a user in /etc/passwd with uid/gid of 0 thinking this would do the trick, however I wasn't able to login with that user. The reason why I'm asking is we're getting several attempts for various IPs always trying to login to WHM, and this is effectively locking out the account preventing us from logging in. Of course, a solution would be to turn off brute force protection (called cphulkd I believe) however this isn't a reasonable solution IMO

    Thanks

Changing root's name to something else is not possible. You can always add another reseller account and give them full access to WHM, but I don't think that's what you're asking.
