    Hello All -

For a CPanel server running pure-ftp how do you go about changing the default upload directory? When we create accounts they are going to /home/user/public_html by default and we want to have them default to /home/user.

I've already tried looking at the pure-ftpd.conf and pdose files with no luck.

    Any suggestions?

    Hello,

You can not set by default to /home/user because /home/user/public_html has already set on server in httpd.conf and that is the standard path where you have to upload your web content.

If you hope for proftpd, it only has to customize the following files and to use it.
    /usr/local/cpanel/etc/ftptemplates/proftpd/stdvhost

    Hi,

Virtual users of pure-ftp are strored in /etc/pureftpd.passwd. You may do it by editing it

change the /home/ftpusers/joe to as per yoru requiremetn and recreate the ftp database and restart it.

Please note that I have note implemented this method.... but this will do it.
