I see that WHM now has configurations for rotating cpanel and apache logs. Great! But why does it only rotate log files that reach > 300MB??? That is a ridiculously-large size! Can't that value be changed?

So has anybody figured out how to change the 300MB file size to something lower?

today again log rotate failed and httpd was failing with core dump warning as error_log was 2GB+

doesn't it need to get in rotation before going this big, also the log rotation is duly enabled from whm.

This forum is totally useless. Come on people, doesn't anyone know where you can edit this friggin' 300MB value??? Do you know how cumbersome it is to try to download a 300MB file to search for some hacker's IP address? THESE FILES NEED TO BE A MANAGEABLE SIZE!!!

Yeah, I had all that set up pre-WHM 11.24. After the 11.24 update, it stopped working. The changelog said WHM now handles the log rotation, but it is for a fixed 300MB file size. Which is why I have been asking if anyone knows how to change that 300MB file size. Guess not.

In version 11.25.1, this can be adjusted in tweak settings. 300 MB is the default setting, but you can change it as you desire.

Thanks! They sneaked that setting in since the last time I searched for this answer. Much obliged!
