Change Multiple Email accounts password

    Hi there,

    there are currently more than 500+ Email accounts are created on the domain testdomain.com, Now we want to change password of All email ids in Bulk. Is there any facility or any kind of script ??

    Please suggest i need your Help!

    Currently there is no such feature provided by cPanel/whm to change multiple email account password.

    Try Following trick :cool:
    cPanle stores email account password under file /home/user/etc/domainname.com/shadow

    Replace user and domainname.com with your actual details.

    File contents will look something like

    test:$1$8_xMjvMw$.J/mr6rZXqc6zaf1RYfZ1/:14946::::::
    where test is the name of email account and "$1$8_xMjvMw$.J/mr6rZXqc6zaf1RYfZ1/" is the encrypted password.

    Now you will need to reset password for one email account, then copy the same encrypted password and replace it in the second filed for all email account users.

    to replace password, you will need to find some editor or something which will make it easy for you to replace second filed for file shadow
